New BMW S 1000 RR bike arrives at SCR
Once the SCR test bike was sold we have been able to acquire this high spec BMW Stock 1000 machine from Peter Hickman Motorcycles. It has all the necessary equipment to compete in the Stock 1000 series: Motec ignition, Ohlins suspension, Scorpion race system and a strong engine unit tested at 210bhp at Pete Cliffords dyno in May.
Our test dates are as follows:
SAM COX RACING are delighted to confirm support from BELCOM CABLES Ltd to help deliver our STOCK 1000 entry this season. We are planning to make Round 5 Brands Hatch GP our initial round and our big return following all the issues that have stopped our racing this year.
With a newly prepped bike in the pipeline and some strong technical support behind us we are ready to enjoy some competitive racing.

SILVERSTONE TEST FOLLOWS PLAN
After a successful initial run out at Mallory Park two weeks ago, SCR attended the No Limits racing club round at Silverstone this weekend. Friday practice day achieved several good sessions on the BMW test bike using scrub tyres and with races to look forward to and an amazing sunny sky Sam enjoyed the return to saddle experience.
The races on saturday and sunday passed without incident posting decent times in the cool track conditions. With better tyres onboard times would have been lower but the sessions provided good positive experience in readiness for the first official BSB test at Snetterton this weekend. Look out for our regular facebook postings throughout the official test here:

"Can't say how happy I am to report that my final CT scan showed an abscence of any cancer in my body after three months of treatment. This means I can return to normality now, put the last four months behind me and celebrate with family and friends.
Its been a tough period for me but now its over I can't wait to get back to full fitness in preparation for my 2022 BSB season. Thank you to all my well wishers, friends, supporters and family for helping me through and always being there with positivity, help and encouragement."

THE BIG JOURNEY BEGINS AT ST BARTS HOSPITAL
Thankfully Sam's treatment began pretty much immediately with an operation to remove a tumour mass then the Chemo began in earnest with a long weekend of chemical infusions at St Barts.
Bad sickness and fatigue soon followed but recovery came round after 4 - 5 days of rest ready for the next booster 5 days later.
Sam has published these events from his bedside and from home to ensure sharing of preventative information for all racers and men generally
